Info

Dinner Time is a project combining editorial design and photography, developed as part of a collaborative exhibition between students from the Herron School of Art and Design (Indiana, USA) and the Faculty of Design at THWS (Würzburg, Germany). The aim was to explore closeness through art and design. The magazine brings together photographs and designs created by four students: Lea Geldmacher (Germany), Taya Johnson (USA), Madisyn Bryant (USA) and myself. The main concept revolves around the shared experience of eating in company. Each member of the team organised their own dinner, documented it and designed a section of the magazine in which they recounted their experience and included the images captured. In this way, Dinner Time becomes a publication that reflects four separate experiences, yet united within a single visual narrative, exploring how the everyday can be transformed into a space for gathering and shared creation. The exhibition can be viewed virtually following the link.
